Please read and follow these instructions carefully!

Volunteers Not Needed For 6/9/10 Event!
Over two hundred volunteers are needed to staff each event and make it a success. Positions available include data entry, forms runners, coordinators, greeters and others. Volunteers may sign up for either half day shifts or full day shifts. The half day shifts will overlap and run from 8:00 - 11:30 or 11:30 - 2:30. The full day shift is from 8:00 - 2:30.
Ensure your child's priority placement for the Spring 2011 season:
Any volunteer who works two full-day shifts on both registration days
will fulfill the volunteer requirement to qualify for priority placement status for the 2011 Spring Season.
[Spring Season is open to Divisions U5 through U19 only. Players play in the same division as in the previous Fall]
This is not a guarantee of team placement, because space in the spring season is always determined by coach availability and field space. However, priority players are always placed on teams first. This is a very easy way to fulfill the spring volunteer requirement, because it is only two days and you are done!
Please send an e-mail to the Registrar to sign up as a registration day volunteer. Please specify if you have a preference in position and what position you worked in the past if any. Also indicate your preference for either half day or full day shift, your availability for both dates, and if you prefer to work both days, or if just one, which one. Please remember to include your name and phone number so you can be contacted.
Thank you for volunteering your time!
There will be no computers, printers, or copiers at the event!

AYSO'S database is online! Parents can now update their player or volunteer information anytime they move or change phone number, etc. This is very important since a lot of information is sent via email.
Pre-registration online is mandatory. Just go online to the eayso website and follow the simple steps to pre-register your player and yourself as a volunteer. Keep in mind however that attendance at either registration event is still required to be fully registered to play in the Fall 2010 season. Pre-registrations that do not follow up with submitting actual forms and payment during the registration events will not be registered.
Remember to bring 2 copies of the form for each player and volunteer you pre-register online.

With the large number of players needing to be registered (approximately 2600), parking around the area of the center can become congested and there may sometimes be a longer than expected wait time in one of our lines. Please prepare for this ahead of time.
You will need to bring a photo id and cash, credit card only on 3/27 and 4/24 or check for payment.
New Player
New players or players that did not play in the Fall 2010 season will need to attend a player evaluation and must have a copy of the birth certificate to complete registration. Players that are not ready to complete an evaluation or do not have their birth certificate will be asked to come back to complete the process. Please plan ahead to have proper copies of the birth certificate in time for registration. Hospital birth records, baptism/christening certificates, and vaccination or school records are not acceptable in place of the birth certificate. We will not keep a copy, your original will be immediately returned to you.
Parents will be asked to fulfill a volunteer commitment.
Please ensure that all the information is filled out on the pre-registration form on eAYSO. Below are some examples of missing information that we have encountered in the past:

All new and returning boys and girls born between August 1, 1990 and July 31, 2005. Players must play in the division assigned by their birth date. Click here for the 2010-11 season division chart.
Players born on August 1, 2006 or later will not be eligible to play in the Fall 2010 season. There are absolutely no exceptions to this policy. These players will be eligible in the Fall 2011 season.
Players are divided into different playing divisions based upon their birth dates. Girls and boys, at all ages, will play with/against players of the same gender. Teams in Divisions U16 & U19 will play against teams from other Regions in our area on both Saturdays and Sundays. All non-competitive divisions (U5-U8) will play in single age divisions.
Rancho Santa Margarita, Trabuco Canyon, Coto de Caza, Dove Canyon, Trabuco Highlands, Rancho Cielo, Wagon Wheel Canyon, and Las Flores. We suggest players register in the region where they reside, however, there are no restrictions.
First Time Players
A copy of the player's birth certificate is required for all first time players in Region 630 and all players who did not play in or did not finish the 2008 Fall Season. Players that do not have their birth certificate will be asked to come back to complete the process. Please plan ahead to have proper copies of the birth certificate in time for registration. Hospital birth records, baptism/christening certificates, and vaccination or school records are not acceptable in place of the birth certificate. We will not keep a copy, your original will be immediately returned to you.
If you are a returning player from Fall 2009 and finished the season in November, you do not need to bring the birth certificate.
(U9 and above) - First Time Player
Your child needs to attend registration if he/she needs to be evaluated! Please make sure your child comes prepared with soccer shoes and shin guards for the evaluation.
Your local AYSO Region is comprised entirely of volunteers. Over a thousand volunteers are required to provide a successful soccer season. Thus, we encourage each parent to consider helping in some part of our program. Prior experience is not required and we will provide the necessary training, equipment and uniforms. Volunteer positions include team coach and assistant coach, referee, assistant referee and youth referee, board member, registration day volunteer, and field setup. Since team parents are assigned after the team is built we do not usually register team parent volunteers ahead of time. Our region does not utilize photo day volunteers. Please be ready to specify what volunteer position you will apply for once you arrive at registration day.
All Coach or Referee volunteers (or their spouse) will get to enter through the Coach/Referee registration door; will save a significant amount of time and your registration will be processed quickly.
All volunteers must bring photo identification (Driver's License or similar identification) so that you can be enrolled in the Safe Haven Program.
Volunteer Forms
- Driver’s License of parent volunteering (If spouse is registering the other spouse, cards must be present.)
We cannot just accept the numbers, the actual cards must be presented for verification.
- Name of company where volunteer works (if applicable)
- Name and phone number of at least 3 references
All teams are formed by an automated process. Teams in brackets U9 through U19 are balanced based upon each player's skill level and experience. Due to the need to create balanced teams, siblings in U9 and higher may not be able to be placed on the same team. Players who end up registered but for some reason have not been evaluated may not be placed on a team. Please ensure your player is rated if needed to avoid disappointment later.
Requests to be placed with friends or neighbors cannot be accommodated. Requests to move from one team to another due to practice conflicts cannot be accommodated.
Request to move up in age divisions needs to be submitted in written with the reason as to why a move request is being made to the Registrar
